ive been playing cs since 2000, later on in the esl and at lan tournaments.
One of the things that is really important to me in cs is sound. Especially if youre blinded, or to locate the enemy through a wall, without actually seeing him (for wallbanging etc.). The thing is the source sounds deliver nothing to me, so i was thinking about the implementation of the old cs 1.6 sounds (weaponsounds, steps, grenswitch, knifeswitch, etc.) to give the game in first instance more the "1.6 feeling" and secondly a better feeling for movement to the native 1.6 players like me.
The second thing is a command for public servers. Like if FF is off there could be another command like friendlyflash 0/1 or so to deactivate it without to install an overloaded tool like metamod etc..
Just these two suggestions
Saw in another thread that its "illegal" to add native 1.6 sounds, but i have to agree to the other thread opener that the sounds should be reworked, not because of they were better but because of they were simply better to exactly spot enemy players. Anyone who played cs 1.6 and older on a professional level will aggree that the spotting through sounds is very important and the source sounds are very very bad to accomplish that.
ps: sry for my ultrabad english
