This is a good observation. It explains why the spray pattern is as close as the devs are going to get it, yet some people still "feel" a difference. I think since we play with these two guns 95% of the time, this small adjustment will be well worth it. I don't understand the hostility either...

1.09 will be released before/around CS:GO's release date as there isn't all too much to finish off (contrary to Yuri's opinion) - Saul 6/7/2012

Don't get me wrong, but i'm not a programmer, nor a developer, i'm only a cs 1.6 player. I don't argue with you guys about the spray pattern because it is well implemented in csp, i'm only saying that the author of the topic is right in my opinion, he explained everything very nice and simple. If you still don't understand what this guy is trying to say read his first post again.

'The screen shake' aka viewpunches define the recoil. If viewpunches are wrong then 'the recoil pattern' itself is also wrong, since the pattern = recoil defined by the angle ~ viewpunches + spread.

U see? If the recoil is 'fine' then the viewpunches can't be wrong. Kinda a contradiction.

    I should quit posting here...

FYI, what the OP talked about is the weapon animation when firing which does not affect the recoil at all, it's just an impression you get but ultimately your bullets will end up at the same spots regardless of that. Try firing with r_drawothermodels 0 and you'll understand.

Well, you changed weapons view angles and turn mode so it would give a more 1.6 feel... why did you do it? It changes nothing to the gameplay

I would wait for the new weapons models and then tweak this

Since animations are somewhat simmilar in 1.6 and css but the viewangles are diffirent this was the logical thing to do before we get our own models.
And btw having a m4 reload animation cover the crosshair is somewhat gameplay changing isn't it?

when i talked about new weapon models and then tweak this i was talking about the OP feedback...

I just said that things that change nothing to the gameplay but yet give a more cs1.6 feeling are GOOD things to add/tweak while tiger was saying that cause it changes nothing to gameplay beside feeling that it was useless to tweak ....

How many times do we have to tell you to read posts properly before replying? I never said it was useless to tweak. I said it did not affect the recoil, not the feeling you get while firing.
