if they release a full sdk with MAC/PS3/(obv.Xbox360) support the world will explode
why not release cspromod via steam once achieved a stable build and give it a cheap price tag, = funding for the project, acquiring more resources etc. gives an easy platform to keep the game updated etc?
i dunno exactly how these things work but can't see the problem. would give all cs players a one click access to it. ? or
I don't know why you guys complain about the fact that Promod doesn't/won't have the newest Source engine at its base, Source engine "11" is exactly the same engine as it was back in 2004 with a few netcode fixes that don't improve the quality of the game by a lot. Look at DotA 2, i can hardly say that the game is technically better than CS:S which was released 7 years ago. The only difference I can tell is the fact that on lowest settings I get smaller FPS than I have on Source at maximum, even with it's "amazing" multicore support, who basically only increased the system requirements.
Then, look at CSP. I swear I couldn't have known that 1.05 is using Orange Box in comparison with 1.04 if I were not told so, there's virtually no difference between them, it's pure marketing. Source engine is still the same engine no matter what version you'd use, there's no big difference between them after all.
Besides, and maybe the most important point at all: nobody expects a 100% bug free game and a perfecly netcode optimized game, CS 1.6 has a lot of "bugs" aswell, but it's feeling and competitive structure took it where it still is at the moment.

DotA 2 gives you lower fps mainly cuz the game renders more textures at once then in CSS.
Just as CSP gives more fps then CSS cuz the maps in CSPromod have less details (among other things).
If without multicore support ppl can have good fps how much would it increanse with multicore support?
There's a portuguese saying that translated to english means "grain by grain the hen fills her crop"... 1 small improvement might feel not enough but with many it already looks significally...
You are just the player, maybe Source SDK 2007 makes it easy to make mods? <- I don't know at all if it does or not but i suppose each new version they are making the engine more mod-friendly (even valve games are just mods of Source Engine).
