    radar

i recently got a 120hz 1920x1080 27-inch monitor an would like to play at that resolution, problem is the radar is really tiny. could you possibly make a scaling function to make it bigger at higher resolutions.

The scaling issue of HUD elements are known. The hit indicators and radar are going to be tweaked for different sets of resolutions.

would it not be possible to add a xx_radar_size 100, where xx_radar_size 110 would make it 10% bigger etc and let people choose their own size?

or is this similar to the cross-hair size argument where people will be worried about harming the competitiveness of the game due to someone having some kind of strange "advantage" by having a bigger radar than someone else? no gd as a temporary fix though, would suck to get used to your custom HUD only to have it taken away and someone else s idea of perfection forced upon you

Good idea, better than different sets of resolution because we can adjust it for self.

This is a planned feature. The textures for that are already done for that but it needs to be coded. However it's not possible select a particular size of the radar, it'll be small/medium and maybe large later on. It's technically not possible to make it adjustable like the crosshair.

It will be good too, I will choose from options tab like crosshair size small/medium/large.

    why can't it be done in 512x512 and cl_radar_size 1 = 1/4 size. cl_radar_size 2 = 1/2 size. cl_radar_size 1.1 = 11/20 size?

Thought code you could also set the top/left line to be always in the same position and when making it larger doing to to the right/bottom.

Cause it's done by fixed texture overlays - you have to prepare a set for each setting. It can't be done by the scaling glyphs because there is some engine size limitation, IIRC.
