Players disappearing from my view, except on radar? lol

A couple of days ago I had the weirdest thing happen to me, I _think_ it was on one of the EA CSPromod servers.

At the start of a round, everything seemed normal, except after 10 seconds or so players would simply disappear, even though I was standing close to them. And you could still see them on the radar.
And most of the time they reappeared some time after. And this happened to enemies as well, quite annoying being shot at from close range and you can't see them .

Dunno what to make of this really...

Haven't had it happen to me since then.

EDIT:

And one more thing. This happened right after it.
When I left CSPromod, but Steam was still running, the sounds of the server, radio commands, bullets, everything, I continued to hear until I closed Steam.
