I guess I don't quite understand how the game will actually be played. Upon install will it run through STEAM, or will it be an update to source, or will it be completely separate? If it's going to be separate, I would guess there is going to have to be a different means of adding friends and creating a community. Perhaps these questions are too advanced for a beta version...

lol jk, if memory serves me correctly it is installed to "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\SourceMods" by default and then it will show up on your games list so it will run through steam just like 1.6 or css.
