Farewell

Following the footsteps of Cashed (and by that I mean, just the timing), I'm leaving something that has been really dear and close to my heart. It is really sad and I thought I was pretty much going to be the very last person to do something like this but things don't always go the way you planned for them to, opinions change, people grow, it's life so to speak.

I'd say it's been an exciting 4+ years where I have met some amazing people and went through hell with them but we have always stayed together as a group, solid like a rock.I would say this decision come after months and months of thinking on my end and just creative differences among other factors.

On the game news front, for 1.07 I would say my work has been pretty much done for a while now and that'll be probably be my last version once it does come out.

I will probably announce what I'm going to be doing next in the next few weeks and shed some more light on that. I have had many ideas in the back of my head over the years and would want to further explore that at some point and try my luck see how that could go.

Lastly, I would like the thank the community which has stuck with us for so long. I know there have been many ups and downs but we managed to stay afloat and do some pretty cool things together. To say the least, it's been a crazy roller coaster ride and I'm glad a lot of people stayed around for that.

It's been fun, it's been bad, it's been awesome but mostly, it's been a learning experience for all of us. We will all get some great wisdom out of it all things considered.

Don't you all see what's going on there? You really think those are 2 normal leavings?
There were already rumors on 1.05 that Alex tries to make money out of Esea for letting them use CSP.
It's just ridiculous, he has not been doing shit for years, when the mod team needed him, he could have done so much for the publicitity. Now that the mod is nearly ready, it seems he wanted control back. I guess he wants to charge money for CSP being used on tournaments and stuff or whatever.
I hoped there was a chance for the CSP team to just continue on their own, but looks like he got contracts and ndas settleted all over the place.

Well thank you for what you've done Alba. I don't think CSP will have someone as talented as you ever again. Mod is pretty much dead and have been for quite a long time, it's just futile medical care now.

Now that you have more free time, I hope you'll finish your skin for Steam. It looked promising.

It's a damn shame Alba, and others whom have abandoned CSP over the years. Not trying to dog on any of you because you were all very dedicated to this game and you spent a lot of time and effort on everything... I've just been hopeful for many many years that someday CSP would finish, and it's a shame seeing that come to an end.

Nevermind, Valve didn't learn that much about competitive with CSS... if they had learn it, they would have done a game to be the "true" successor of Cs1.6 instead of leaving CSS to be "the successor" of Cs1.6 for 7 years even know they had failed (if they had not failed cs1.6 would already been death since 2005~2006)

Daaaayum. I've been following this mod, waiting... for longer than such a significant person as alba has been around.

Kinda depressing, but eye opener at the same time.

Anyways, thanks alba for all your work. Especially the PR work when it wasn't even your responisbility. I remember a point in time when you were practically the only one on the dev team regularly posting in these forums.
