seems like a pretty important question though...

when defusing a bomb and you let off of the defuse, is there still going to be a delay before you can fire your gun?

That is soooo annoying, but should be I guess... Would make those 1vX defuses a little unbalanced if is isn't added.

No, imagine you sitting and defusing.
You see a terrorist peaking against you...
Instant let go of the defusebutton and fire at the same 0.001 second....

Another exampel,

You are defusing sitting on inferno A (short to mid) and you know he is in mid right behind the corner.
You are aiming at the egde of midwall while you are defusing, so you are saying it should be able to give the chances 50/50 who kills who even if you are defusing when he peaks out?

You have 2 hands on the rifle, and defusing with your toes? :)

Man we should make this new-age. Defuse kits are automatically defused with a kit you put on the bomb. HOW BOUT THAT. No need to sit on the bomb anymore poking away or cutting wires. Now, you can play with the Terrorist and make him defuse your defuser! Ah HA! Solved. LOL A game of defuse / non-defuse 1v1 clutch

Seriously though, it should stay in. Defusing the bomb is supposed to be a difficult job. No delay would put the defuser at a big advantage, it should be vice versa.

yeah by lettiong the terrorists plant the ct's failed!
but GOD gives them a chance to correct the mistake ;S

btw, why cant the terrorists switch the bomb to "instantblow"?
so teh terroorist 5vs1 (terror eco...) switch teh oomb to instantblow :X (timer 0 :P)

Maybe at some point there should be an animation or status icon which shows that you cannot shoot. Perhaps the CT defuse is animated, much like the plant is for terrorists. I know many nubs think the delay before shooting after defuse is a bug because there is no indication that you shouldn't be able to shoot. Of course this would be added later on in the development as it isn't a very significant thing for experienced players.
