Anyone else think its a bit retarded how you can move through the metal on the central rafter in Nuke? Im not one for complaining usually, but when recreating a game to look better than the original id expect not to be able to move cleanly through metal supports. Any chance you could just remove these bits of metal from csp_nuke (saw them in the map promo). It wouldnt change gameplay because you would still be able to stand on the bits you're able to to stand on now, and would look 100x better.

That kinda doesn't work. Have the mapper remove the supports so it looks better because you won't be clipping through it; but if you remove it, it looks worse because people will be wondering how the hell those bars are being held up.

It wouldn't look worse, its still being held up from either end of the building so it makes perfect sense, just get rid of the shit in the middle.

err, rez, you don't understand the importance of trusses evidently -_-
A special ops member could easily maneuver around those trusses, but instaed of making a whole new animation for it, cs devs just allowed for the character to go right through.
Anyways, that side being stated, you do raise a good point when it comes to better appearance (the whole point of this mod).
I don't care either way, but this is definitely something to consider.

edit: are you talking about CW with those supporting things that you can sit inside on 1.6?
if so then i think they should stay cause it's not like it's gamebreaking and is a kewl place to wait for yard rushers

My point is that it will look just as shitty, if not shittier, without them. One look and you automatically know something feels "off".
You could always just put the supports above it... So it's hanging from the ceiling rather than being held from side to side.
Then we'll have the problem of people thinking it looks funny when you walk through the ceiling supports.

i think it's a top view thing meaning you can walk on it, and jump to the side of it, but not move between. so it's a wall in the middle but you can still sit on the edges

maybe the supports could be solid, but you can still sit on the space either side of them, but can't move through them.
Hmm, The supports are great camo as well, if you take away that, than you are taking away a large park of de_nuke and the game as well. Lets not dumb this game down!

how is doing something to the middle of the support things which is mostly only used to reduce fall damage gonna make this game easy and anti-skill?

It's the smallest thing in Counter-Strike 1.6 that makes it the game it is, from the game play all the way down to how a knife is held as well as the way things work surrounding you.
I don't think I am the only one who has this opinion..

TBH being able to move trough something unmovetroughable isn't breaking the game, and still. why would it break the game? you can still sit in them and shoot trough them
