I should start to say that I've not tried 1.04 that much because of the source models on weapons and players.

I really think the weapon models is better now but not as good as I expected. The AWP still looks like a little gun with the biggest scope I've ever seen... I think the rounding of everything model makes it look like a toy gun, hard to explain what i mean.

The characters are muuuch better now and the animations are better to but still a bit stiff in the back.

BUT the biggest part from 1.6 that i think promod is really missing is the simple hitboxes.
When you are hitting the head in 1.6 you really can feel it when the shot takes of, then the arms of the model moves from the head and he fly's back. And even if you hit an arm you can see that you shot him in the arm. I think it is the hardest part to copy from the 1.6 version, that's why its so big still after 7 years.

Ive tried this game now and it really feels random if the shots gonna hit the head or not, or if you hit it one time but they survived.. Of course I'm not an idiot and think it IS random but it really feels that way because of the animations.

Agree, hitting one deags doesn't feel the same, maybe because the kill comes with little lag.

So in general cs1.6 players want 1.6? Nothing new except a tiny-bit facelift? You are only considering csp because cs1.6 is being dropped next year? Luckily I'm not that picky and can adapt to change like any other competitive mind.

Frgr, 1.6 will survive as long as there is no competition from other games like that..

But in general maybe your right but I don't want to much 1.6 in this. But there needs to be a clear hitbox that you can feel as player otherwise the 1.6 players NEVER will change to promod... The sounds for example don't need to be the same, that's one thing that csp can improve from 1.6..! That the sound of steps is to low (or weapons too high) need to be fixed tho..

plus: i dunno if this is caused by netcode or hitbox/playmodel issues but i often got the feeling the bullets are literally traveling trough the enemy without any effect... it always leaves me with a big WTF on my face when i die and not vice versa.

The weapon models are still source's. And they are the same as in 1.04.

Lol not. It's called suomi finland saatana...

I agree with hitbox thing but gun models... doesn't really matter right now when there are lots of more important things to be fixed, they don't affect the gameplay at all. Even though, I agree that awp looks horrible :D

csp just still needs a lot of work before it comes close to 1.6. especially the little things that keep people play 1.6 and love it.
