First of all, well done with 1.05, it was a great release and worth the wait. Yes it was actually worth the wait.

I love the aesthetically pleasing design from alba :D I don't believe that to be noob friendly, looking nice is always a step in the right direction.

I see the feel of the game movements have been tweeked, people can say it doesnt feel 100% like 1.6 but they cant say it feels like source, because it doesnt at all.
The recoils seem a lot better now, not sure if much work was put into it but the only problem feels like the AK, ill explain later.

Ok for some of the problems I was met with:
- Model related
I'm not going to flame about the models, I know theyre still a WIP and for a small team, its great work.
When a player is killed, it doesnt seem like the death animation is played globally. I don't know but after I see someone die on the death notices, when I turn and look at the player who got killed, they would ONLY show the death animation at that time. Weird bug and should be looked into.

Also in the future could cl_ragdoll_physics_enable 0 be enabled? Instead of showing death animations completely, the body disappears after dying, which gives more fps. I seem to get more fps in CSS than CSP so yeah.

- Smokes
They don't really work... you can see through them and for some reason theyre white (might be a problem in my side). Imo, the best smoke is the current CSS smoke. For those who haven't seen them, theyre an exact copy of the 1.6 smoke now and are impossible to see through, like they should be.

- Scoreboard
It doesn't show everyone connected for some reason. There would be 4 players on a side and the scoreboard only show 2-3 players on that side.

- interp
It's always in the yellow/orange :S
Is there a way to make our interp setting STAY? I'll just add it to my autoexec for now, but some players probably don't realise that their lerp is causing their game to be shaky and not as smooth. Although I know a few source players who play with disgusting lerp :>

- Quick switching for silencer
How come theres still no delay?

- Sound
I'm sure everyone is aware of it, but the sound settings and the game mess around with the music you're listening to :S haha no biggie but theres still problems, like volume isn't really accurate, I'd get it loud sometimes and the next game it'd be so low I can't even hear my gun sounds properly.
Everyone has already gone through the "footsteps are fucked" crap so yeah I'll skip that. The overall sound however seems to be coming from behind you not completely but JUST behind you :S I'm using Steelseries Siberias and haven't got this problem in CSS or 1.6. I think sound is the major issue for future releases just like models were the issue for 1.05. This problem is the reason this version cannot REALLY played competitively although its still great for wars and pugs :P

ANYWAY, I REALLY LIKE IT AND HOPE 1.06 IS ANOTHER SUCCESS

- Smokes - It's not easy to make a perfect 1.6ish smoke. Thats why the devs look for some particle effect artist - check the Jobs page and spread the world.

- Quick switching for silencer - It's fully intentional :)

- Sound - Messing the volumes is prolly engine related, so blame Valve :/

Smokes: you are able to see through them when you are inside; however, people outside the smoke will be able to see you as well so you can't hide in them (unlike 1.04). Also, the new CS:S smokes and 1.6 ones are nothing alike, you literally can't anything in them in CS:S.

Are you using Windows 7? If so, go into Sound => Communications => Check 'Do nothing'

yes the sound issue really seems to be os related!
after changing that setting using win7 my sound probs where gone....
using my old xp setup they never accured! so thx again tiger!

concerning smokes.... i love em... no more "seeing through" no more... "ur playing 16 bit bla bla like in cs1.6" i like em how they are... and they work for me perfectly! (playing csp in 800x600 res just like in cs 1.6 ) ... but if there are issues to tweak... maybe there are... but i have non... for me smokes are damn fine! have been testing around with gamma tools and fooled around a bit... but i could never look through them or see feet of models standing behind the smokes... so probs from my side on that one! good work so far!

and just a question to rcgnz ... what do you mean about interp being in the orange?
all this messing with netsettings is pretty much gone... i play the standard rates (rate 25000 cl_updaterate 100 cl_cmdrate 100... well i lake the cl_rate command from 1.6 and cl_cmdbackup) but the netcode is different... and yes my interp shown in netgraph is orange too... whats the matter? its down to the lowest it can be... so aint that fine for you?
i like the way this mod gives everyone the same hands on settings!

Ahk thanks, just that it seems like everyone has 16bit and sees through the smoke, myself included.
And the silencer thats no problem then ><

Hmm... I can see where you guys are going at with the smoke, but iono, isn't it just better to block out everything? I guess you're trying to replicate 1.6 so I'll let it go there.
And thanks for the Sound fix :D works :P

are you sure... I see everyone clearly and so do they, as they are shooting me asif theres nothing there. It only seems to occur when you get closer to the smoke tho. theyre kinda acting like the old source smokes. but yeah.

You're meant to have it as low as you can handle. Mine is 30.3 where it flucuates a bit so I put it on 33.3
but the game is defaulted at 10.1 or somewhere near there. I'm actually not that sure on it, there was a thread on it a while back when CSS got updated.

--- Update ---

OK i see whats with the model death animations.

For some reason, some people see the death anims twice. Like me for example. But it doesn't seem to be with everyone, around 2/5 people have it from what ive asked.

smokes are fine for me! as is told you i cant see through any smoke! playing csp on standard cfg params!
fine for me... cant see through em at at ... cant spot "feet" as possible in cs 1.6 in 32 bit mode ... csp smoke are volumetric so no... i cant see through at all! no matter what res i tested!

so what exactly do you mean with your fluctioating? i just let the settings be and play am as they were made ^^ rate 25k cl_updaterate 100 cl_cmdrate 100

netgraph tells me my interp would be like 11 milliseconds... and yes it is still shown in orange.... oO

--- Update ---

well i really cant tell about old or new smokes in css... because i dont play css... but for me as a 1.6 player the actual smoke effect is way better then the cs 1.6 32 bit effect.... that what i can tell ... i really CANT see anything through it... but well there might be source settings helping out... what so ever... i personally with a fresh clean confing can just say... whatever resolution i play ... i CANT see through a smoke !
