in 1.6 when the bomb is planted everyone except the person who planted the bomb can jump off of it and i was wondering if it will be the same in csp. if i played source i would just go check it since it will probably be like source by default but i wasnt sure, just wondering since it can be very useful at B on d2, A on inferno, and upper on nuke.

i don't get it, you mean like people can walk on the bomb or?

though i hope CSP won't have the bullshit trough wall defuses that is on css.

Yes, he means standing on the bomb. In 1.6, when someone plants the bomb, anyone that wasn't the planter can stand on the bomb entity which brings them a few unities higher than the normal ground. This is frequently used to get on top of crates that aren't climbable normally in clutch situations (like the crates in inferno's bombsite, or d2 B upper area when the bomb is planted near the green box).

I say they should keep it. It shouldn't be hard to code and it adds a lot to situations like 1v1/1v2's when the bomb's planted.

This is an adjustment that needs to be made. It opens up many tactical options.

yea im a big fan of it, it opens unexpected plays up and the advantage is there for both teams, planting team can use it to hide or the defusing team can use it to help get the last kill or go for a sneaky defuse. my personal favorite is when people plant at moto box on inferno at A, you can jump off the bomb and get behind the box and defuse. most the time they'll check it and assume you got off an moved... The bomb has been defused. lol

Maybe even code it so that the bomb planter can get up too...I always found it annoying/weird that just because you moved the bomb from your back to the ground that you can't step on it..lol do you get downsyndrome after you plant or something?

As long as you don't have that stupid crab walking shite that you've got in CSS, when you stop planting the bomb and try and strafe away, it's stupid and gay.

They know about the crabwalk, so I bet they're fixing it..

I think the planter can't stand on it as he would get stuck in the entity after it was planted, but yeah if he moves outside the entity box, he should later be able to walk up onto it or something... I guess they can allow the planter to do the same.

btw +1 for topic, it's a cool 1v2 trick for CT's... it should be possible in csp

Any thought from the devs? It's an important feature for competitive play and should be definitely be in 1.04.

I've managed to win several rounds by using this at A on inferno.

This and also the ability to open a door by throwing your weapon at it (squeaky door at nuke and the one at inferno).
