I was reading a topic about buy menu, which turned into topic about ammo clips. You know there will be always css players and 1.6 players and they what csp to look similar to their game. So one half wanna buy ammo clips and the second one doesnt. And then the idea came in my mind. When you buy a gun, you will get one more ammo clip but you have to buy the rest.
And also at the beginnig of the new round your gun will be "reloaded" automatically.

Agree? Disagree? Feel free to comment and write down your ideas ;).

//EDiT: forgot to apologize for my english and tell you "Im sorry if someone posted similar idea before."

Yeah right. :D You should have to buy all ammo clips except the first one ofc.

PS: Your english is fine

Edit:

About the reloading I don't mind that really. But is it too much too press the R at the end of the round? :P

You get a magazine when you buy any gun already. I don't think two would be a change needed, money management is a skill if only a small one. :D

how about the usual solution? CVAR! people who are too lazy to buy ammo check the buy full ammo box, and get charged for the ammo each time.

make both things bindable in the GUI?

checkbox
[_] Auto buy ammoclips with teh weapon

what should we do about the autorefill ammo at new round from css? (is that still in?)

Auto-reloaded weapon at beginning of each round - YES ( it's kind of improvement, sometimes you have no time to reload your weapon at the end of round, and you earn time at the beginning of next round.)

Full ammo clips at beginning each round - NO (money management is part of "skill" and you need to learn how to spend your money, and so far this is PROmod right?)

keep it like 1.6 - why? because its a tactical element. if you put em all out, we are back @css :P

auto reloaded weapon @ roundstart with ammo left, YES! its so anoying @ quickie matches,
to have to reload your gun first, while the important rush period is ticking *brrrrrrrrr*

ONLY TACTICAL PART OF BUYING AMMO IS ON PISTOL ROUND TO SEE IF YOU'RE GONNA SAVE AND PICK UP DEAD PEOPLES WEAPONS OR BUY AMMO SO YOU WON'T RUN OUT

the rest of the rounds being able to buy clips is just not needed at all.

especially when you've got 30/89 rounds in your AK and buying one more round costs 80 just like 30 rounds would. that's crappy.

weapons reloaded at start and buying rounds with ,. or 6-7 like in 1.6. BUT it should cost per round, so buying 16 rounds won't cost as much as 30/whole magazine. same should be for kevlar imo

that would be nice. of course it'll be rounded up to 5 so you won't have 1923 money but 1920 or 1925.

So when you wanna buy an awe and your 3$ to short for weapon and ammo I laught at you because I'll simply just buy the weapon and 2 clips

lol, im sorry but if source players want a game that's really easy and something as simple as buying ammo is too hard for them they can go play source.

I'm a source player and I have no problem buying ammo. In fact, I DO think that it makes the game more tactical (ex: pistols rounds, a few bucks short of buying a certain weapon, buying enough ammo so that if enemy takes your ak/m4/awp he has to make it thru the rest of the round with an ammoless weapon, etc.)

Please stop it with the stereotype that source players want csp to be exactly like source, we're just trying to be open-minded...

Anyway, I also agree that auto-reload at the end of a round is a great addition to csp. Because let's be honest, if you think having to reload at the end/beginning of every round makes you pro, you're crazy. It's nothing but an annoyance, no reason to leave something in the game that has virtually no competition aspect to it.

Same thing with other minor 1.6 features, if it does absolutely nothing for the game but bring back memories, grow up and use the source or modified version if it's better.

i have to agree with that. i really hate it when i reload my weapon after the round, there's standing "30"!!! the round starts and i'm back to like it was (e.g. 12 bullets in weapon, 60 in magazines) because it's bugged and i have to reload again

Do you just go through the csp forums to whine at source players suggesting gameplay changes?
I couldn't help but noticing you've said something similar in every "change thread" :)
I agree that the gameplay shouldn't be changed, but your argument in every thread is the same: go back to source, cspromod is 1.6. Be creative, maybe even consider saying something that actually makes a difference and is not considered as another useless whine ;)

OR B+6 B+7

magically you've just bought full ammo to both your weapons with 4 button presses and not 50.

reloaded on round start, but keep ammo buying or else the 1.6ers are gonna go whine

smartin

Yes we will whine since it's a gameplay affecting feature which we'd very much like to be kept as it currently is :]

I'm already making mike implant the reload on respawn thing, that's good stuff :>

Yeah, the reload on respawn thing is a very good idea. I'm not a big fan of not buying ammo but only because I just bought CSS today and I kept trying to buy ammo but kept getting taken to the Equipment part of the buy menu. I was just so used to B then 6 after I bought my gun.

Yeah well that's not why it should be kept. It should be kept since it has a strategical value to it. Just sayin

I know, but it's just my personal reason. And it was more of sarcasm than a serious thing.

Just thought I'd make it clear to everybody else that might read only your post and then go "AHA, so not buying ammo sucks because it's not 1.6"

Just as long as the obvious is implemented.. the ammo you get from auto-reload from the new round isn't just "magically" appearing and it's actually coming from your spare clips.

i love how cspromod has become some nest of trolls that feel the need to constantly bash other peopls games all you need to say is i dont like your game you dont need to go "you game is fucking ghey and its too easy" sometimes you can simply say you odnt agree instead of going all christian and forcing your beleifs onto others

snapp
11-09-2009, 01:17 AM
i dont see the difference with starting with full ammo IN your gun or not at the start of the round... its not hard to reload at the end as someone pointed out earlier, but you have 10sec+ freezetime and you have PLENTY of time to reload and restack on nades...

as far as starting with full clips... for the tactical reason of the game you should not start with full clips, money management is still a skill and a tactical part of the game, though its not much for clips, but its more then nothing, and those extra $ can actually be a difference between a save and a buy round...

Agree with sly and snapp, "ok" with the weapon reloaded at round start but as sly said no "magical" full mag from nowwhere if you're out of ammo, if you plan to make so, just bill the new mag ...

Even if I think it's quite good as it is in 1.6 at least you have full control and choice over what you do.. I'm not in that "make everything easier" path. :|

haGisson
11-09-2009, 03:30 AM
when the round starts it should be like you pressed reload (no magical full mag)

11-09-2009, 03:41 AM
i just press 8 on numpad
