Current State:

Team beta testing should be underway hopefully tomorrow, although we have been having a lot of trouble getting some Professional/Intermediate Australian teams to test it. We are also going to be doing a lot of custom texturing once we have the layout exactly how we want it, so look forward to that. Oh also, this is a CS:S map that we are going to port over to CSP (I have been planning to do this since we started on it).

Well it's a pretty good system for getting a general consensus, maybe not exact and specific feedback. You just have to be able to filter out all the "this is shet br0 sawce is ded" etc

It's not the best for map testing.
I know that finding professional teams to test it is probably the best way to really show the competitive pros and flaws of the map.

just want to see it on gglive so we can play it :D

Finally got some real testing done!

We managed to get a bunch of Professional Australian players in (and a few other long time players) and had two games on it. It wasn't teams, but for some reason I think it's better to just use a bunch of people who know each other than two real teams going at it. Really helpful, we're changing a fair bit of stuff around now and making it better than ever!

^ We're going to try get another scrim or two on it tonight if all goes well. If we think the layout is good, we'll do some final detail work (skybox, lights, sounds, custom textures) and then we will release RC1 (Release Candidate 1) publicly.

Oh and just so you guys know, those screenshots in the first post are over 10 beta's old! A fair bit has changed since then.

This map is originally for CSS.
vctm, being a fan of csp, is remaking this map for csp when its complete.
(just assumed a shit load there lol soz vctm)

CSP version won't be for a while, although you should be able to play that version in CSP fine.

I played de_blizzard in css vs bots and I must say this is a good map =) but I have to set up the gamma to the highest in some situations but its OK :)
hope I can play this map vs other guys :)

btw you cant play this version in csp, the hdr is fucked up like it was in csp_canals.
other than that , nice layout, but you really have to improve the visuals (i know its rc1^^).

nothing to do with the compiling of the map. cubemaps were only built for ldr, not hdr

not exactly sure what youre saying

the only reason its all bright and shiny with hdr enabled is because its using default hdr cubemaps. its a 5 second fix for the next version anyway

rc2 is really coming along after just a couple days. We've covered our biggest hurdle, our theme change. We're now readjusting most of the map with gameplay tweaks. The layout will remain quite similar to what it is in rc1, but wherever you go you'll be like "wow that's changed".
