What's your idea on triple bomb spot maps? Should we go even higher? How should you go about creating these type of maps? What repercussions does it have for the CT/Ts?

Fire away!

there would have to be some way to know which site the bomb was planted at b/c ct's would have to risk checking one of the two others 1st. or increase the bomb timer. or layout the map in a way that would have cts run through both sites linearly.

there should be maps where the entire map is a bombsite

This is a genuine idea:
We could do 7v7 with 3 bomb sites?

wish we could edit post....
but that would leave the possibility of 2v7 at a site, but if the maps are laid out properly you could have CT strats where you only have 1 or 0 players defending the 3rd site.

good ideas, wow, we can't edit anymore?

edit, ofcourse we can still edit...

but yeah, 2 bombspos would be closer to each other and maybe 1 bombspot could easily be defended by 1 person.

I think triple site maps would have to feature only a few intelligently laid out choke points.
What about dynamic levels that change every round?
I like the idea of a map with two sets of adjacent sites just like nuke (four sites total).
Two isn't broken.

Yeah i suggested this before but everyone raged haha. Just about everyone said they want no changes to cs, keep it the same. I figured you have 2 backups on a team right. Like what downbad said, have a 7v7 on a triple bombsite map. The strategies could get a lot more complex because of more players and more routes.

That's more entertaining. Obviously it wouldn't always be 7v7 triple bomb site. But having at least 1 map like that in a season rotation would be a really awesome experience for both players and spectators.

I'm thinking it is kind of obvious what 3 bombsites would do to the gameplay... it wouldn't be worth defending with 2 players at a site. CT tactics would become a group search to eliminate the terrorist instead of spreadning out garding 3 bombsites.

The maps would be constructed in a way to allow for maximum and fair strategy for both teams. Though there are many strategies other than "group search" that a CT can apply, I know what you mean still. That's why triple bombsite would best fit with 7v7's.

It's too big of a change imo. I just don't see the community accepting it. We've got the most diehard 1.6 and Source players here...

That aside, even if it was 7v7 it'd still be unfair for the CTs. The maps would have to be bigger to fit 3 bomb sites, so rotating as a team to attack the planted site would take longer and be harder to organize. It'd give the Ts enough time to set up perfectly while the CTs were scrambling for time. It'd also cost the CTs time because the actual sites would have to be bigger most likely... just "in case" all 7 Ts were still alive, you'd need to have room for them. And with bigger maps, bigger sites and 7 players, delaying the CTs from defusing would become easier.

If the bomb timer was changed to fit this, I think it'd draw the rounds out too long and instead of making it fun for the players/fans/spectators, there'd be a lot more "empty" time where nothings happening.

So assuming all of that was figured out, the maps would be SOOO COMPLEX. Getting the map design balanced (chokepoints etc) would be really hard, and a lot of people would be upset because it just opens up more doors for flaws.

My pessimistic (?) $0.02 !

No changes to cs is good. Keep it the same. Thats what this mod is about really.

BUT (and this is a large butt), as this mod is so easily customisable (sp?), new ideas should be able to emerge. If this idea goes badly, it will be forgotten (like cs maps lol)

I'd definitely give it a try if anyone would make a decent 3 bombsite map.

No, no and no IN a 5v5, maybe if you increased the players each team.

but honestly, 5v5 has always been played and will (probably) be playd
