This is my idea on the mapcycle for csp, basicly adding in warm up maps aswell as the scrim maps.

csp_dust2
csp_nuke
csp_train
csp_inferno
csp_aim_map ( 1.6 version, remade)
csp_bloodstrike ( 1.6 version, remade)
csp_awp_map ( 1.6 version, remade)

these are good but i think since 1.6 is pretty much getting a complete Source port, that they should focus on perfecting csp_season, the cpl maps, and csp_contra first. and also a port of csp_lite. i think someone outside the development team could do the last 3 on your list.

yeeah remake CPL maps but csp_cpl_mill does not sound right so just name it csp_mill :D

Redstar plz can Dev Team add all those maps (like csp_office & italy, mill, tuscan, russka, foge ect.)made by CSP team in game so we don't have to download it? For me this is no problem but it will save all of us some time.

primary:
csp_dust2
csp_nuke

csp_mill

secondary:
csp_season
csp_cbble
csp_russka
csp_fire
csp_strike

tertiary:
csp_aztec (1on1/2on2/3on3)
csp_dust (1on1/2on2/3on3)
csp_prodigy (1on1/2on2/3on3)
csp_italy (de_ version)
csp_office (de_ version)
csp_assault (de_ version)

quaternary:
csp_aimmap (j4f/aimtrain)
csp_awpmap (j4f/aimtrain)

i personally liked de_survivor .. dont know why nobody wanted to play it :(

What is the map cycle for?

I know what it's for, but if the server is public you can change it to whatever you want (at least in 1.6). If it's private I see no use for that..

dk3 I think you're thinking of mapcycle.txt (which is pretty useless), whereas the OP is using the term to mean the maps that will be packaged with the game, I believe.

I think that a mapcycle should be interkalated, by :

Bomb defuse
hostage
vip

and if you whant join fun maps or what so ever it should be beetween them , so that the player doesn't get bored by the same cycle on almost all servers.

It just a guess....

I think it doesn't really matter. Pub servers will add whatever custom maps they want in and they will control it. Map cycles will have nothing to do with competitive play because only certain maps are played.

dk3 I think you're thinking of mapcycle.txt (which is pretty useless), whereas the OP is using the term to mean the maps that will be packaged with the game, I believe.

Well, then everyone stop calling them map cycle and start calling it map list or original maps or whatever, because the map cycle is exactly the maps a server goes through( thus the cycle part of the name)

Its more like Ã* playlist.

the sever sWitches to the next Map on that mapcycle-list. (e.g. when maxtime or maxrounds on the map is reached.)

but you can change The map independ on the mapcycle.

The mapcycle is NOT the list of all maps. Means you can change to a map witch isn't in that list (as long as the map you want to switch is on the server)
