What you guys think of these maps? They already proved they can be fun playing competitively in source. Russka was even played in one point six cevo-p back in days.
Hmm I didn't play competitive match on russka but I wanna to ;D de_contra... I don't like it ;/ de_seasson - I'm not familiar with this map ;p link ?

de_contra was played world-wide in years 05-08 (source)
de_russka was used both in source and 1.6 cevo-p like 2years ago

since i made season it is already scheduled to be included in 1.04

Really ? I love it. Kinda "loved" when ESEA was still around. (I am talking about Europe)

since i made season it is already scheduled to be included in 1.04
Wow thats great. Contra should be included too. That map was played for decades. Well not decades but, I spent good time playing it.

i guess it depends on where you come from you know, your background in gaming. I am used to the competitve nature of 1.6 and all things surrounding 1.6, sure ive played source and cal once.. BUT i ahted contra, i thought it was garbage the layout was blah. Russka on the other hand i grew up with and i think its a great map and should be included if possible, and season, well season is a decent map and plays well, and imo optional to include.
Heres the thing to think about if you Don't include it, then who will?

Well contra is one of those maps you either love or hate but I got so much used to it in source leagues that I love it. I think it is one of those maps that are more team based.
EDIT: And what I think contra & russka could be imported from source couse contra hasn't random objects in it (Like other source maps) and russka is same as in one point six
Personally I think contra is a rubbish map, feels like a friggin' maze, and the Source version isn't very pretty either. I don't mind russka, haven't played it much though.
Love season though :D , favourite map of all time, glad to hear it will officially bundled with CSP.

all maps for css will work with csp. just download css version and u will have it m8.

I actually don't think it's that simple because with recent builds we've been working with if we go to a regular source map it looks like complete crap. I mean stuff missing, a lot of flat textures and gray walls, etc.

It doesn't need to be ported, CS:P runs on the Source engine so all maps for CS:S work in CS:P and vice versa.
If you want to play it in CS:P just copy the map to the CSPromod maps folder.

Well with 1.3 for example the source maps look just fine. Maybe he's right, maybe he's not. I can't really say. Only Source map I actually like over the original is nuke anyway so I haven't really tried.

i think what hes saying is it wont be csp textures, also the boxes would be to big for models etc.
