My idea is extremely simplistic, so much so that I wonder why nobody has ever thought of it before. Whether you're new to this game, an amateur, veteran, or professional level player; have you ever forgotten what team you were on (even for just for a split second in the heat of the moment)?
This is an issue that I feel EVERYONE has experienced at one time or another (whether or not they can admit it) due to constant team switches during pubs, scrims, and even matches.
And so my suggestion is: have a simple on-screen indicator that tells you what team you are on AT ALL TIMES. Maybe putting a red or blue line under your respective player icons could work. A bold 'T' or 'CT' text indicator would do justice as well. Just make this a cvar and see what happens, because I really can't imagine how people could complain about this (OMG no fair, you only killed me because u knew what team you were on from that stupid cvar, your not pro!!). If you believe this feature would be a crutch that ruins competitive play,...LOL
I KNOW you can see what team your on via the scoreboard or radar, but for people who don't constantly check this or are in the middle of a firefight, having a brain fart can be detrimental to the whole outcome of a round. Please throw aside the ego and at least consider this idea, I know it's a bit ridiculous but it could actually be useful from time to time.
