Hello everyone, it's me again. This time, you know the drill except I've decided I'd split my art threads from release to release and share (what I'm allowed to) with you guys, see what I'm working on and so on. So here we go.
Note: Please note that a concept is not a confirmation of anything as a feature but it's more like a research and development process and it might take quite a while before you see them (or not) inside the game.

I'm currently remaking the new steam ui theme to be closer to what I think it should be and once I'm done, I'll skin said skin and make one that uses csp's color scheme and style so it might look different but it should be roughly the same. I've posted a thread on the official steam forums about this (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1161275) already if you want to check it out and post feedback there, thought it should be here in a devlog as well.

i know this has nothing to do with the GUI, but i hope cspTV will be a proxy like hltv, because source-tv consumes lots of ressources of the gameserver

Double agreed! Great update Alba. I can't wait to see some of the progress that will be included in both 1.04 and 1.05 Beta :)
Again, just want to stress out, these are just concepts. It's going to take a lot of work for what's coming but at yeah :)

alba when you say youre going to implement the ingame irc client, you should consider making an automatic pug/mix system to be built with it. it allows the pickup and play factor. many new or teamless players will have a much easier job in finding a team with this too.

i think that would take alot of time to codeing to do and might be a good thing way way down the road but realy is not needed if there is a ingame findscrim and findringer room that you could just post for a ringer stuff that way pugs dont endup with random 4v5 and stuff or just random ppl just joining that you dont want playing with you, atleast with the find ringer system you can say be mature and get rid of them when they are not what you want to play with.
so although it makes things a little ezer on the players without teams, its realy just people being to lazy to go and post as a ringer, everyone has proly been in findringer and knows how ez it is usualy to find a scrim to join, so personaly save your time and make the rest of the game the best you can, instead of adding this feature that would take for ever to do and because its dedicated servers would cause alot of problems all round

That's up to him, really but I don't think it'd be of much uses since it takes quite a bit of time to tweak and make an animation so yeah... dunno :P
Alba, if you read this, don't put TeamKill/Errors column in Scoreboard... It's useless =X Take it like 1.6 or CSS scoreboard and keep money and health, and add kits and bombs icons [dead one if you want too ^^].
Remove those errors.
HP should be shown as less/more filled icons of teammates.
And cash in chat sorted showing nickname and + or type of primary gun if equipped. This will solve many problems ;<
and you have nice HUD additions and less packed scoreboard.

I like the errors idea, I just think "errors" sounds ridiculous. I think it should be changed to BD & BP. Also, if it doesn't already happen, teammate HP should be red in console when it is in red status.

Hello, theres something ive noticed that sure you have but havent seen any discuss about it. Is the antialiasing that sometines appear on the radar.

This seems to be a tricky one, have you fixed yet or done any progress? The image is taken from the media picture so sure is not only me that get it.

That's because of the overview rotation the image is scaled down but yeah you don't notice it in movements, just when you stand still with a certain angle. Nothing too annoying but there's not much I can do about it.

This is the way textures behaves when they're rotated and rescalled. Sorry but it seems that you'll have to live with it :)

Well, that's one of the plan but for that to work properly, you need to have the little angle sphere for each players. That'll eventually be added so no worries there.

other icons between the resolutions?
3 different radar sizes & radar icons sizes for bigger resolutions, yes. Since all of the hud is made with font except the radar since it wasn't possible to make something 1.6-like without using a texture, this will allow people who uses big resolution to get the same radar proportions and not one tiny radar :)

I'm especially excited about the CSPTV. As an ESEA support employee, it's a bit annoying being limited by what the HLTV and SRCTV can do. It's tough to see everything you need to in one shot. Hopefully we'll be able to put in some ideas and feedback on how to better CSPTV not only in a competitive sense, but a practical support sense as well.
Or perhaps by that time we'll have a whole new system. Who knows?

2nd i was with u from ur old fourm and yeah u toke along time for making 1.04 but it worth the wait
What I noticed is that when your teammate is on the outskirts of the radar u don’t know is he on it or he is far away they should change the dot with an arrow if the player went outside the radar more than the outskirt .
and also when the player camp for ex. u should also change the dot with arrow point to the place he is loking at.and about the scorebord i like it but i don't think in a combative play which promod is all about u don't need the errors and score columns just the old stuff with the mony and the hp and IMO the hp color shoud change like the hp in the hud from blue to yellow to orange and red becoz these will give you a fast and better idea which of ur team mate need backup. those the things i am thinking about right now i wish i was helpful

Well I dunno is it right place, but I noticed that flash bang blindness time is too short. Practically there no point from flash bang if blindness is so short, about 2.5-3sec.
One more thing. Whats about voice communication while you are dead ? It will be great if those who is alive could hear dead one's. This is more for clanwars !

ayck: alive talking with dead for clanwars??? it is not competitive when you can talk IN GAME with alive members of your team. You can use VT/TS2/Mumble or whatever for this, imo this function shuld be deleted or not made in every FPS game.
dmd it's the reason why I ask about that. It will be much easier and cooler, than using vt or TS2 !

More likely that it just won't be in 1.05.

first of all EXECELLENT WORK DONE BY ALEX'S TEAM...... AMAZING JOB EVERYBODY.....
Till now the game is doing very well, although still in its very early stages..... i wanted to tell you (actually URGE you guys) guys that you all should concentrate more on finishing the interface and gameplay stage of the game rather then work on other stuff like maps ..... This way more energy, time and money can be focused on the most important factor of the game rather then anything else, thus the basic game will be up and running alot sooner and we as admins can finally install Cspromod in our servers alot sooner:p :d ;)
I wish you guys all the best, and hope that you guys will keep working hard to bring us one of the next biggest revolutionary games on air.....

While yall are working on the new website design, could we get a forum tree at the bottom of the page aswell? Its a pain to have to scroll all the way back up to the top after you read a page of posts. Preferably, right under the quick reply box or even under the page numbers.

Also, quick question; why did you guys redesign the front page before the forums? The current frontpage is/was fine but the forums are a bit of a wreck. Was it due to WordPress integration or something?
Both are a wreck right now, lost the scripts and some of the look parts are broken. Basically the reason why it's frontpage before forums is because vbulletin is much more of a bitch to code compared to the wordpress page we'll have.
It'll just take a bit of time before everything is changed and back to lookin' good just like it was before (except better obviously)

He did say "I have a new devlog about blablablabla coming soon" though, so that was probably just a bit of poor phrasing by alba :P.
When you put too much information before a few key verbs people tend to ignore them and only see the message for it's "core".
Just found his tweet... he did mention coming soon at the very end :).
"Most people didn't see I guess but I have a new devlog with new media on scoreboard, team selection and what not coming soon! #csp"
Yes, I'm working on the devlog since it was in the works before the website outage and now i'm back on track :)

I Like to many maps so its really bad idea to improve more maps cuz ppl will wish them to be oficial and than team's works on one map and on tournament they will need to face map's where they didnt trained hard..

also webbrowsing has been there since ever, I meant tabbed web browsing (which is twice as awesome obvsly)

When you get to it can you make it so that the scope in high resolution looks the same as it does in 640x480 and 800x600? In higher resolutions the dot doesn't really look like one (it's weird) whereas it looks much better and more 1.6-like in those two resolutions.
