Hello,
i have a question to the developers of CSP.
There are a lot of remakes of offical cs 1.6(de_ and cs_) maps which are made by many people who are not in the dev. team. Some are already finished and are amazing. Will u guys add the best maps as "offical maps" for csp?
The maps are not popular if the maps are only "custom maps" (As Exemple: de_inferno_pro for css.. the map is better than the css inferno but nobody know the map). Leagues play no remakes of offical maps. It would therefore be advisable to arrange with the mappers. You have a lot of beta testers which could test already finished maps now. this would be less work for u guys.

add the best maps(which match with your ideas) to your mod...
here a list of the maps which are made by random mappers:
csp_prodigy
csp_assault
csp_italy
csp_office

and i would add an offical aim_map
(suggestion: Qpad Pro Aim_map -> http://www.qpadusa.com/assets/aim_qpad/aim_qpad_3.jpg)
and at least another question. are there triggers in offical csp maps (as exemple: de_train -> airplane)
Yeah, include them into the 1.03 version or wait for the 1.04 but it'll be nice to have them :)

upload them to the gameserver and there will be more action
de_dust imo sux ballz ;D I don't like this map very much and it's not playable in competitive matches....
for 1on1, 2on2 , 3on3 one of the best maps :)
and there are many leagues which have ladders for 1on1,2on2,3on3 ... the biggest is the esl with over 2 million users
syN for me CS is only for 5v5 (and I'm looking at CSP the same) and sometimes 2v2 so if de_dust sux in 5v5 for me this map is weak ;D

they will only be added if they are popular, up to the dev team standards, and with permission from the mapper.

Some of the popular maps from css would be nice aswell. Such as:
de_season
de_rush
various CPL maps.
de_contra
de_tuscan
de_losttemple
de_beroth
ETC
I personally love aztec and that version would be awesome. But please don't put dust in, just becuase its to ct friendly.

so far as i understand are mill(released), aztec(released), dust(released), prodigy, office, italy, storage(assault) "fanprojects" and not official.
somebody here in the forum has said that mill, aztec & dust are bad maked and get remaked by him. i dont understand why he think that, because i understand nothing from map coding.
But in my opinion are these 3 maps the best csp maps of all(inc. officals). they looks awesome and are almost identical to 1.6.

yeah but im talking only about original 1.6 maps + mill
not completly fasnprojects... when you would go and take a look in the WIP section @Level design you would see some betatesters and csp-team mamber are making maps with the fans/community... and you would see what maps are going to be official includet? ... okay not for sure ...
without scaled models(1.6 size) are the best maps nothing ;]

I'm making csp_storage with the 1.6 model sizes in mind, but in reality in won't make a huge difference, just require some different sized crates etc.

Hmm i don't think that CSP will be accepted if it still use css models. thats a big point wherefore 1.6 players hate source. the big hitboxes make the game to easy.
If the CSP maps are based on 1.6 sizes and the new models with 1.6 size will still not implemented than looks it still like source with wrong proportioned maps.
CSP needs the new sized models to be successful.
I think the team needs not so long for the mod, because they don't want a fast release.
They need a lot fo time for learning to program a mod like this. Maybe should they search more people for their team. But it isn't my job.
they don't .... all the new things are cool and will keep a little community ... its just the maps witch feels to smal haha :X

source maps are the same size as 1.6 maps afaik. the models are just bigger.

right now you will unless the models are all done.
but when the models are done you will not then it will be like 1.6 :D

Just at note: Any map that was cpl_ will not be officially included in CSPromod, the reason for this is CPL still exists under new ownership, and thus would cause legal issues if they were to be released as apart of CSPromod.
cant you sligtly alter them and not use same name or textures

No even slight alterations wouldn't get around legal issues, in fact that would cause more. Either way, you still get season :)
heavy alterations then :lol:
Can't you just talk to them? If they wanna be a part of gaming community they could agree ;D (you'll add those CPL n CAL advertisements on walls and voila ;D)

How's tuscan doing? I think it was discussed in another topic but I can't remember..
