We hope you have all been enjoying the first week of CSPromod Beta 1.04's public release. Over the past six days, we have been receiving encouraging and useful feedback from many areas of eSports, including community members, professional players, leagues, and broadcasters. We've already begun work on 1.05, as that's the next big milestone for this project.

CSPromod Beta 1.04 has obviously been a very hot topic of conversation this week, as many individuals have questions and comments on where CSP is right now, and where it can, should, and shouldn't go. This Sunday (tomorrow) on Live on Three, the pro gaming broadcast brought to you by djWHEAT, SirScoots, and Slasher, CSP's Project Manager Alex Garfield will be coming on air to discuss CSPromod and field questions from live call-ins. Make sure you tune and call in, and don't miss what will certainly be an in-depth and passionate discussion.

Here's Live on Three's official press release: "After one week of public release for CSPromod, including reactions from the pro-player community in both 1.6 and Source, along with the media's thoughts, Project Manager Alex Garfield will be a guest on Live on Three this Sunday at 4PM EST/22:00 CET. We will be talking about how the release has gone thus far, and if things have gone as expected, better, or worse, his reactions to the player and media statements, more information and hopefully a general release date for 1.05, and what the plan is for CSPromod for the future of the Counter-Strike community."

Live on Three airs this Sunday (tomorrow), February 7th, at 4PM EST/22:00 CET, at http://www.djWHEAT.tv

Perhaps the hottest topic of discussion with regards to CSP Beta 1.04 has been a feature that's actually not in 1.04 - the upcoming model and animation fixes to be released in Beta 1.05. Many have said that they just don't know how to judge the feel of CSPromod with the Source models in there, and have been asking where exactly we are in the process of implementing the new models and animations.

Well, thanks to our brilliant animator Image Matt "mazzer" Maslen, we're able to give everyone a window into our progress with the new 1.6-style models and animations. Take a look at the video - we feel that it speaks for itself, and we hope that everyone likes the progress so far!

Hi Everyone,

Image

Several weeks ago, our friends at Cadred.org released a news post offering their community members the opportunity to submit some questions about CSPromod, under the premise that the best queries would be sent off to me (CSP's Project Director) and subsequently answered. Now, on the eve of our release, we're pleased to announce that Cadred has published an article containing my answers to some of those select questions. Make sure to check it out, and we hope to see you tomorrow when we release CSP Beta 1.04!

Sincerely,

Alex Garfield
Project Director, CSPromod
